Welcome to Paint Pots Freemantle nursery
Our Freemantle nursery in Southampton has been welcoming local families since 2000 and was the first of the Paint Pots nursery buildings. Set in a characterful Victorian house on Waterloo Road, it has a warm, homely feel where children can settle in, feel comfortable and enjoy their days with us.
Inside, there’s plenty of space for children to play, learn and get creative, while outside you’ll find a surprisingly large, peaceful garden surrounded by mature trees. It gives children space to explore, use their imaginations, take on new challenges and enjoy being outdoors.

Meet the manager
Mel
I joined the Paint Pots family in 2011 and I have had lots of work experience across all the age groups. A few years ago I progressed to room leader and I am now happy to be the manager.
I love watching the children progress and grow in their time with us.
I look forward to the challenges of my role every day, particularly getting to know the children and parents in all the rooms and leading our team to make a difference to children's lives.
What parents love about Freemantle nursery
Real words from the families who are part of our Freemantle Paint Pots community.
We are so happy with our choice of nursery. Our daughter is really thriving, and I can see that all the team know her and show her affection. It’s a lovely environment and I see the team interacting with each other in a positive way too.
Emily
When our daughter is at Paint Pots she is receiving the best care and education possible and as full-time parents this is extremely reassuring. She is very loved at home at Nursery - We couldn't be happier with Paint Pots. Thank you to all the staff!
Sandra
My three children have all been through paintpots from 6 months old to reception year over the past 8 years, and have all absolutely loved it. The staff are friendly, loving, and enthusiastic, and it is a great place for them be, which is evident from the moment you walk through the door.
