Welcome to Paint Pots Bitterne pre-school
Our Bitterne pre-school in Southampton is a warm and welcoming setting for children aged 2 to 5, located within the grounds of Bitterne C of E Primary School and close to the heart of Bitterne Village. Designed to feel spacious and comfortable while still retaining that important homely feel, it’s a place where children can settle in, feel secure and enjoy discovering something new each day.
Outdoor play is a big part of life at Bitterne. Our garden extends the learning children enjoy indoors, with different areas to explore, including a large wooden pirate ship and decked activity space. We also have a dedicated forest area where children can investigate natural materials, get closer to nature or enjoy a quieter moment in the wooden hut.
Throughout their time with us, children are encouraged to build confidence, develop new skills and follow their interests across all seven areas of learning. With a caring team and plenty of space to play indoors and out, we want every child at our Bitterne pre-school to feel happy, supported and excited to come through the door.

What parents love about Bitterne pre-school
Real words from the families who are part of our Bitterne Paint Pots community.
I could not recommend this Nursery more!!! My son has been going there for the past few years, and my daughter the last 6months. Both children are developing beautifully, and Paint Pots has been a huge part of that.
Steven
From day one, the teachers have been incredibly kind, caring, and nurturing. They are deeply understanding of each child's individual needs and create a warm, welcoming environment where kids feel completely safe and supported.

We are so happy with our choice of nursery. Our daughter is really thriving, and I can see that all the team know her and show her affection. It’s a lovely environment and I see the team interacting with each other in a positive way too.
