Welcome to Paint Pots Shirley nursery
Our Shirley nursery in Southampton is a warm, busy setting where children can feel at home while enjoying plenty of opportunities to play, learn and explore. Based on Howard Road, between three local primary schools and within easy reach of Southampton city centre, it’s a convenient choice for families living or working in and around Shirley.
The nursery is set within a former guest house that has been thoughtfully modernised and extended, with younger children cared for upstairs and lots of activity happening throughout the setting. Outside, our garden becomes an extension of the learning environment, with a raised playhouse, platforms and a stage where children can climb, imagine, perform, play with friends or simply enjoy being outdoors.
There’s a real family feel at Shirley, with children of different ages sharing parts of nursery life together. Our team takes time to get to know each child, helping them feel secure, confident and excited to discover something new each day.

One of my favourite things about working in childcare is that I get to watch children grow and learn into such spectacular human beings. Being part of their journey is such a special thing and I feel especially lucky to experience this every day.
