Welcome to Paint Pots Sholing nursery
Our Sholing nursery in Southampton offers children a warm, homely environment with plenty of room to play, explore and grow in confidence. Located on Bursledon Road, on a key route into Southampton from the east of the city, we welcome families from Sholing and the surrounding areas.
Outdoor play is a big part of nursery life here. Our large garden has different areas for children of all ages to explore, including pathways, a raised platform and a playhouse, with activities designed to support all seven areas of learning. Indoors and outdoors, children are encouraged to follow their interests, develop new skills and enjoy learning through play.
We’re also proud to hold the Healthy Early Years Bronze Award, recognising our work around physical activity and healthy eating, as well as Southampton’s inclusion standard for supporting and educating children with additional needs. Most importantly, our kind and caring team works hard to make Sholing a place where every child feels welcomed, supported and able to enjoy their day.

I’ve been part of Paint Pots since 2014, when I joined as a Toddler Room Practitioner after moving to Southampton. Since then, I’ve progressed to Pre-School Room Leader, managed our Swaythling nursery for over three years, and I’m now delighted to be the manager here at Sholing.
I enjoy working with Paint Pots because I really believe in our ethos of ‘Love, Laughter and Learning’, something I get to see every single day in our fun and spacious setting. We have a kind and caring team who make every day a pleasure to be here, not just for our families, but for each other too.
During my time here, I’ve also had lots of opportunities to develop my knowledge through training, including safeguarding, team leadership and finding new ways to expand children’s learning through exciting and engaging activities and environments, something I love to do!
