Located on the key commuter route into Southampton from the east of the city, our Sholing nursery serves families from a wide geographical area.
Over recent years, we have developed the building and outdoors to provide a more spacious and comfortable environment whilst still retaining the homely feel that we believe is important to children’s well-being.
The nursery occupies a substantial plot with plenty of outdoors space for all ages. With its paths, platform, playhouse and gazebos, there are different zones in which we engage in all 7 areas of learning.
We have our Healthy Early Years Bronze award for promoting physical activity and healthy eating and we have also achieved Southampton's inclusion standard to provide support and education to children with additional needs.
My name is Chelsea - I have been working for Paint Pots since August 2014 (just after I moved to Southampton), starting as a Toddler room practitioner, and a Pre-School room leader and I am now delighted to be the manager of our Sholing nursery after managing our Swaythling setting for over three years.
I enjoy working with Paint Pots because I believe in our ethos of ‘love, laughter, learning’, something I get to see every single day in our fun and spacious setting.
We have a kind and caring team who make every day a pleasure to be here, not just for our families, but for each other too.
During my time here, I have also had the opportunity to take part in a range of training which has supported my knowledge in certain areas, such as safeguarding, team leading, first aid, how to expand our children’s learning in exciting and engaging ways and engaging environments – something I love to do!
Please feel free to come and say hello!
