Visitors are often surprised to explore this nursery and to discover the extent of the space both indoors and out. The nursery comprises 2 houses joined at the entrance, each with a front conservatory providing ample room in which our children can learn and grow together. Turn right at the door to access the preschool. The house to the left is dedicated space for our babies and toddlers. The secluded garden is large enough for all our children to explore and have fun. We spend a lot of time out here – in all weathers, thanks to our covered area.
Our after-school children have their own separate base in a portakabin in the garden.
My name is Katey. I have been working for Paint Pots since 2003.
During my time here I have worked as a practitioner in the baby room, the toddler room and pre-school. I have been pre-school room leader and deputy manager.
I love working with children. I enjoy watching them grow and learn new things each day. I have been a one-to-one support for various children. I found this very rewarding and enjoyable. I hold a level 3 NVQ in Early Years. I am first aid trained and currently working towards my level 3 Special Needs Coordinator (SENCO) qualification.
In 2019 I was lucky enough to visit Kenya with Paint Pots, to volunteer in an orphanage there.
This was the most incredible and emotional experience. It is one I will never forget.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family and going for walks with my partner and our dog. We also love watching films and eating out.
